Pre-Licensure Program for the General Practice Examination for Registered Nurses - English for Medical Purposes
The course will include an in-depth study of the question areas as well as teaching of answering skills for the Licensing Examination. We will focus on reviewing and analysing the content to help candidates to better prepare for the examination. We will use teaching, practice questions and mock exams to enhance students' learning.
Course Content: :Common medical vocabulary, healthcare vocabulary, annotating medical prescriptions, annotating prefixes and suffixes, annotating daily healthcare reports, writing nursing reports, improving listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in healthcare English.

Aims:
- To equip the learner with theories plus Practical Knowledge
-To facilitate the learner to acquire the skill on Phlebotomy, IV cannulation and performing ECG in a safe and accurate manner
By the end of the course, the learners should be able to:
- define the roles and responsibitilites of a phlebotomist/ ECG operator
- identify correct specimen bottles for different laboratory test
- identify potential hazards and adopt related safety measures
- perform phlebotomy and IV cannulation accurately on a simulation arm
- perform ECG correctly
- list the potential complications during and after taking blood
